john and anne barbour - About Us

"How can we love God whom we have not seen, if we do not love our brothers and sisters who we can see. This commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brothers and sisters also." 1John 4:20,21.

Whether leading worship or performing, John and Anne remind us through their music that truth is internalized through relationships; first through our relationship with God, and then through our relationships with others.

John's background is in music and missions. He worked with high school and college students for 5 years through a unique band called "Wings of Light" which used music to bring the Gospel into public schools all over the world.

Anne started out as a solo artist on Spirit records at the age of 16 and soon discovered that her talent for expressing herself through songwriting was going to be one of the main focuses of her ministry.

John and Anne were married in 1989 and have travelled the world since then as a part of the crusades of Billy Graham, Franklin Graham and Greg Laurie. They have also led worship and performed at Promise Keepers and Chosen Womens gatherings, as well as at churches all over the U. S. and the world. They were a part of the team that developed and taught Maranatha Music's Worship Leaders Workshops.

As a part of the Praise Band and the Tommy Coomes Band they have recorded 12 cd's of contemporary worship for the church. They also have 5 recordings of their own and have contributed vocals to well over 150 other projects.

John and Anne live in Newbury Park California with their son, Evan.
